Fashion should be fun and accessible for everyone, regardless of size or budget. My mother and her mother were both of sturdy stock and so was my dad- so I was well acquainted with the problems involved in getting larger sizes long before my hypothyroidism and sugar addiction sent me scrambling for clothes I could fit into at a decent price. 

If you are frustrated with trying to find larger clothes on a small budget- then this post is for you!

1. Shop Smart at Discount Retailers

Look for stylish plus-size clothing at affordable prices by shopping at discount retailers. Keep an eye out for sales and clearance events, and don't hesitate to use coupons or cashback apps to save even more.

I discovered this cute T-shirt through Chic Me . It comes in a great range of sizes and the price really fits my budget. So often it is difficult to find larger sizes, but this online fashion outlet has a great variety of fashions and great deals too. Chic Me ships all over the world free with a minimum order.

2. Embrace Thrift Shopping

Secondhand stores and online platforms are treasure troves for budget-friendly fashion. You can find gently used, high-quality pieces that fit well and look great. Plus, thrifting is an eco-friendly way to refresh your wardrobe. Once in a while I have been able to get larger sizes at thrift stores, but lately it seems that it is mostly tiny sizes at thrift stores in our area.

3. Invest in Versatile Basics

Building a wardrobe around versatile basics can save you money in the long run. Look for items like well-fitting jeans, classic blouses, and neutral-colored dresses that can be mixed and matched to create multiple outfits. Quality basics are worth the investment as they last longer and can be styled in various ways.

I really like the styling in the classic notched lapel jacket. The three-quarter length sleeves could camouflage my " bye-bye " arms and the contrast lace panels could be quite slimming. I prefer sleeves this length as the cuffs don't get in the way when  I am wheeling my wheelchair. It is available in black or white. The black lace is very pretty and reminds me of the mantillas I saw some ladies wear in Spain. However, I am praying to be able to go somewhere warm very soon, so I think the white might be better for ne, although they do say black is more slimming.
